about

Pop, Smack, Sugar: Pure Digital from Pop to Death is the first Anderhill release of 2024. It's different than much of my later work as Anderhill and goes both backward and forward. I go back to using one of Anderhill's original sounds: the electronic sax. I move forward by putting a big emphasis on drums and digital textures and playing with a heavy post-pop sound.

I gave the songs simple one word titles in a list format with no relevance other than I felt a pop sound to this work that I wish to death. The music is purely digital, composed solely inside the DAW without the use of any live samples or traditional instruments. It's purely experimental electronic music. The photo is at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. For more information about Anderhill, go to www.danstevenerickson.com
